The course covers lecture and hands on verification both visual and using "Freely" available tools for discerning accessibility of a software product.

• Complete Walkthrough/Lecture of All of the Section 508 Standards for Software Applications

• Identifying Accessibility Issues

• Avoiding Fonts, Colors or Any coded Display Properties

• Developing without Device Dependence

• Performing visual tests and automated tests

• Introduction to Microsoft Active Accessibility Tools

• Providing Alternatives

What you will learn:

After successful completion of training, a student will be aware of what issues are common to inaccessible design and have the knowledge to evaluate and report errors to developers. Development teams will learn how to develop accessible applications and how to avoid the most common pitfalls. This course is a good prerequisite to the AccVerify Training offered by HiSoftware.
