Commonwealth of
Pennsylvania Office for Information
Technology Selects HiSoftware Content
Quality & Accessibility Solutions
Concord, NH, June
9, 2004 – HiSoftware Company, the
leader in enterprise content quality
management solutions, announced today
that the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania,
Office for Information Technology, has
selected AccVerify, AccRepair and
AccMonitor Server from HiSoftware
Company to assist State Web masters in
managing web site and application
accessibility compliance. HiSoftware
solutions provide “out-of-the-box”
testing and reporting for
Accessibility, Privacy, Searchability
and Usability standards, empowering
organizations to keep up with ever
changing web technologies and
standards. The software will be used
to evaluate, remediate and monitor
Pennsylvania’s state agency web sites
and web applications for content
quality standards and conformance with
accessibility guidelines.
Pennsylvania joins
a growing list of state governments
turning to HiSoftware Company for
content quality and accessibility
compliance solutions, including
agencies within the States of New
Hampshire, Colorado, Florida, New

Under the terms of the agreement,
HiSoftware Company will provide an
enterprise license of its AccMonitor
Server software, which is a server
solution designed to run with no user
interaction once configured.
AccMonitor can be scheduled to crawl
Web sites daily, weekly, or monthly,
and allows for ”on demand” reports on
the accessibility status of their Web
pages. Web application developers will
also be able to utilize HiSoftware’s
user-driven interactive desktop
solutions, AccVerify and AccRepair, to
test and remediate their
sites/applications for compliance with
Section 508 guidelines and other
content quality standards. For
example, AccVerify will be used to
scan and analyze web content for
broken links, and will produce
detailed reports to help developers
and quality assurance professionals
pinpoint and fix content, interaction,
and usability defects.
Section 508, an
amendment to the Rehabilitation Act of
1973, requires electronic and
information technology that is used,
developed, and procured by the Federal
government to be accessible to people
with disabilities.
