HiSoftware
Introduces AccMonitor Compliance
Server 2005 Automating Advanced
Application Testing and Enhanced
Usability Testing
New Release
Automatically Measures, Maximizes and
Manages Web Application Accessibility
and Content Quality
Concord, NH –
November 17, 2004 – HiSoftware, Inc.
today announced the upcoming release
of its new product AccMonitor
Compliance Server 2005. AccMonitor
Compliance Server 2005 is the newest
member of HiSoftware’s industry
leading high-performance Accessibility
and Content Quality Solutions, and is
designed to automate and improve
productivity, enhance application
usability, and optimize system
resources and utilization. AccMonitor
Compliance Server 2005 provides users
with increased performance, advanced
and automated web application testing,
and new client free test functionality
to advance over all usability of Web
based content and applications. The
solution provides users with a
complete, scalable enterprise-wide
test management and remediation
solution for Content defects,
Usability testing, Search engine
effectiveness, Site inventory, Web
accessibility (Section 508, W3C's
WCAG), Site maintenance and management
of corporate standards.
The AccMonitor
Compliance Server 2005 introduces the
next generation of Web application
testing with advances in HiSoftware’s
Interaction Builder technology for
Transactional Web application testing.
The Interaction Builder scripting
engine, an integrated component of
HiSoftware AccVerify DS2 2005 (sold
separately), provides the ability for
AccVerify to simulate a user
interacting with a transactional Web
based application (i.e. time and
attendance system, resource management
system, airline reservation system,
online banking system)- incorporating
accessibility and content quality
testing into the interaction process.
These interactions are stored in
Scripts, which can be distributed to
other users of AccVerify. AccMonitor
Compliance Server 2005 can now
automate and schedule scripts created
in the AccVerify Interaction Builder
for automated, scheduled and ongoing
testing of transactional applications.
Advancements in
the Interaction Builder scripting
technology provides new filtering for
advanced testing of dynamic content as
well as management and
parameterization of scripting for both
scheduled and distributed application
testing. This new functionality is
particularly useful for testing
applications with rapidly changing
screens or content. The advanced
business intelligence features in the
Interaction Builder scripting engine
provides users with the ability to
modify interactions “on the fly” for
continuing management of evolving
applications with no additional IT
overhead.
The AccMonitor
Compliance Server 2005 includes the
HiSoftware Integration Pack for
Microsoft Visual Studio.NET, providing
a facility for professional level
content quality and accessibility
testing with out client software.
Through the use of the new integration
pack, administrators can enable an
ASP.Net web-based service that links
to their AccMonitor Server software.
Along with Client Access Licenses,
this allows for client or plug-in
independent testing, enabling
organizations to do more enterprise
planning and provide increased
flexibility. All administration and
configuration of the application is
managed on the server side. The look,
feel and functionality of the test is
completely configured by the
administrator of the application.
Users can be presented with a custom
interface that simply requires them to
enter a URL and press a button, or
they can be presented with options and
selections for a more robust and
complex testing. This solution
provides users with the ability to
completely integrate Web policy
management, content quality and
accessibility testing into their daily
workflow, without the requirement of
deploying desktop solutions.
The AccMonitor Integration Pack for
Visual Studio.NET is a unique and
cost-effective solution that enables
enterprises to manage Web site
resources more effectively and better
understand the impact of those
resources on Web site quality.
AccMonitor
Compliance Server 2005 provides
enhanced “out of the box” testing for
Microsoft Content Management Server
2002 and SharePoint Portal Server
2003. The new integrations allow users
of the Microsoft Enterprise Web and
portal solutions, to leverage their
HiSoftware AccMonitor Compliance
Server for integrated and automated
accessibility and content quality
testing.
AccMonitor
Compliance Server 2005 also provides
ongoing support for the W3C XML
Reporting language, EARL 1.0, allowing
users to manage multiple content
quality testing objectives within
their organization.
The AccMonitor
Compliance Server 2005 product line
solutions manage and maintain Web site
and Web application content quality
from initial development through
application deployment. These
solutions enable collaboration amongst
the various development and QA groups
responsible for building applications
and managing accessibility and content
quality across the enterprise.
Collaboration arises from the ability
to access Web-based results reports
anywhere, any time; a central data
repository that houses all test
assets, and a workflow process to
facilitate information flow between
multiple users of the applications.
Users can also create custom tests to
supplement regulatory compliance
testing with brand management and
corporate standards based testing.
With enhanced collaboration, errors
are found early in the quality cycle
-- when they are least expensive to
correct -- and quickly resolved. Users
can create, share and reuse previously
created test assets throughout their
organization, providing management
access to quality status reports,
driving fast return on investment and,
ultimately, attaining higher levels of
Web content quality and accessibility.
