to Internal Revenue Service Web
developers

announced today that the U.S. Internal
Revenue Service (IRS) has reached an
agreement with HiSoftware Company
through which the Internal Revenue
Service will make HiSoftware’s
AccVerify SE for FrontPage available
for download by IRS Web developers
through its Intranet.
This software is available through a
strategic relationship between
HiSoftware Company and Microsoft
Corporation and provides FrontPage
users with the ability to test their
Web sites for complete conformance
with standards mandated by Section 508
of the federal government's
Rehabilitation Act, as well as the
international accessibility guidelines
set forth by the World Wide Web
Consortium (W3C). AccVerify SE
provides a complete tutorial on the
creation of accessible content and the
use of FrontPage to create an
accessible Web site.
The IRS recently awarded a purchase
agreement to HiSoftware Company for
its AccMonitor Server enterprise
software testing solutions, after
evaluating several Section 508
compliance products for implementation
as an enterprise-level NT server-based
508 monitoring and evaluation tool.
