ACCVERIFY® AND
ACCREPAIR® DS2 2005 PROVIDE ADVANCED
APPLICATION TESTING AND ENHANCED
USABILITY TESTING -- REDUCING TESTING
TIME, RESOURCES AND COSTS
New Releases
Continuously Measure, Maximize and
Manage Web Application Accessibility
and Content Quality
Concord, NH – November 10, 2004 –
HiSoftware, Inc., today announced the
upcoming release of its AccVerify DS2
2005 product line. The new solutions,
inspired by the exceptionally complete
AccVerify and AccRepair Platforms used
in HiSoftware’s industry leading
high-performance Accessibility and
Content Quality Solutions, are
designed to help improve productivity,
enhance application usability, and
optimize system resources and
utilization.
The 2005 editions
of HiSoftware’s award winning
solutions provide users with increased
performance, advanced and automated
web application testing, and new test
functionality to advance over all
usability of Web based content and
applications. The solutions provide
users with a complete, scalable
enterprise-wide test management and
remediation solution for Content
defects, Usability testing, Search
engine effectiveness, Site inventory,
Web accessibility (Section 508, W3C's
WCAG), Site maintenance and management
of corporate standards.
The AccVerify DS2
2005 product line introduces the next
generation of Web application testing
with advances in HiSoftware’s
Interaction Builder technology for
Transactional Web application testing.
The Interaction Builder scripting
engine provides the ability for
AccVerify to simulate a user
interacting with a transactional Web
based application (i.e. time and
attendance system, resource management
system, airline reservation system,
online banking system)- incorporating
accessibility and content quality
testing into the interaction process.
These interactions are stored in
Scripts, which can be distributed to
other users of the applications.
Advancements in
the Interaction Builder scripting
technology provides new filtering for
advanced testing of dynamic content as
well as management and
parameterization of scripting for
distributed application testing. This
new functionality is particularly
useful for testing applications with
rapidly changing screens or content.
These advanced business intelligence
features in the Interaction Builder
scripting engine provide AccVerify
with the ability to modify
interactions “on the fly” for
continuing management of evolving
applications with no additional IT
overhead. Interaction Builder scripts
can also be automated for scheduled
back-end application testing in the
new release of AccMonitor Compliance
Server, which will be released later
this month.
AccVerify DS2 2005
extends usability testing with the
introduction of integrated HTML
validation and spell checking. The new
release also provides ongoing support
for the W3C's EARL 1.0, allowing
AccVerify users to manage multiple
content quality testing objectives
within their organization. The DS2
2005 product line solutions manage and
maintain Web site and Web application
content quality from initial
development through application
deployment.
These solutions
enable collaboration amongst the
various development and QA groups
responsible for building applications
and managing accessibility and content
quality across the enterprise.
Collaboration arises from the ability
to access Web-based results reports
anywhere, any time; a central data
repository that houses all test
assets, and a workflow process to
facilitate information flow between
multiple users of the applications.
Users can also
create custom tests to supplement
regulatory compliance testing with
brand management and corporate
standards based testing. With enhanced
collaboration, errors are found early
in the quality cycle -- when they are
least expensive to correct -- and
quickly resolved. Users can create,
share and reuse previously created
test assets throughout their
organization, providing management
access to quality status reports,
driving fast return on investment and,
ultimately, attaining higher levels of
Web content quality and accessibility.
