HiSoftware and
Microsoft hosting Web Accessibility
days throughout Europe.
WHAT: Microsoft
and HiSoftware are hosting as series
of Web Accessibility dialogues
focusing on practical strategies for
building a more accessible Web.
These events will cover the
following topics: How do you educate
your organization on accessibility
issues? How do you audit thousands
of web pages and enforce specific
content standards? How do you
measure for site quality standards?
These sessions will also examine
the three key components of a
process based approach to
accessibility:
- The Right Leadership and
“buy-in" from key stakeholders in
the organization.
- Education of all
stakeholders on the current
state of accessibility and
creation of a plan of action.
- Empowerment of everyone that
is impacted throughout the
design, development, quality
assurance and monitoring
process.
Specific examples of best
practices for Web Accessibility and
accessible design as part of the
development process will be shown at
these sessions. We will also examine
the steps used to evaluate and
address accessibility issues within
an existing Web site. Our panelists
and participants will include
members of Non-Government
Organizations, Web Accessibility
Specialists, Enterprise
Organizations, Public and Private
sector Web accessibility leads, and
other key stakeholders with Web
accessibility directives.
