Group Meeting
WHAT: HiSoftware

will present two sessions on Web
site accessibility at CSUN 2007,
California State University at
Northridge’s annual conference
focusing on technology and persons
with disabilities. CSUN is the
longest-running and largest annual
university-sponsored conference of
its kind.
HiSoftware’s president and CEO,
Kurt Mueffelmann, will present a
session titled “Incorporating
Automated Testing into Your Web
Accessibility Strategy.” Attendees
will learn how to develop a Web
accessibility compliancy program and
how to implement an automated
solution to enforce content
standards, promoting a positive user
experience.
Alan Parks, the Coordinator of
Dissemination and Technology at the
University of Maine’s Center for
Community Inclusion and Disability
Studies, will present a session with
HiSoftware titled “Using Technology
to Ensure Campus-wide Accessibility
Compliance.” This presentation will
discuss the University of Maine’s
experience in developing a plan for
systemic change and the steps taken
to implement a policy for 508
compliance on all campus Web sites.
HiSoftware will also hold its
first general User Group Meeting at
CSUN 2007. The meeting, will focus
on the Web Governance challenges
faced by educational organizations
today and will be hosted by Kurt
Mueffelmann, HiSoftware’s president
and CEO, and Tammy Cosseboom,
HiSoftware’s Director of Education
Sales. An overview of HiSoftware’s
plans for 2007 will also be
discussed at the meeting, and user
experiences will be shared over
lunch.
