Mike Frame is the Deputy Center Director for the Center for Biological Informatics, U.S. Geological Survey. He is responsible for geospatial, informatics, and technology operations and oversight at the Center.

Mr. Frame is also the technology manager for the National Biological Information Infrastructure (NBII) (http://www.nbii.gov...).

The NBII helps people make better decisions and provides access to the Nation’s biological resources.

Prior to joining USGS, Mr. Frame was the Deputy Director of Information Systems Development with the Department of Energy. While in this role, he was responsible for the design and implementation of a DOE wide research and development system. This effort earned a National Partnership for Reinventing Government Hammer Award in 1998.

He earned his bachelor’s in Electrical and Computer Engineering and his master’s in Industrial Engineering/Information Systems from the University of Tennessee.
